Shamanic Trance Dance (Saturday at 1pm)
[Location: Bodhi Yoga]
An Embodied Dance for Expanding your Consciousness, Going Inward, and Engaging your Senses.
Includes: Breathwork; Meditation; Intentional Rhythms; Intuitive Movement, Reflection and Grounded Processing.
The workshop will begin with an overview and introduction followed by a guided breathwork sequence and meditation to get us ready to move and go deeper within our bodies and minds. As we drop in and begin to intuitively dance, patterned drum rhythms of the Earth and other tribal sounds are used along with intentionally higher frequency music to guide the experience. The option to be blindfolded will be available (and is encouraged) for those wishing to go deeper into the experience and out of the visual senses as a primary focus. By removing the sights around us, we can relax deeper into ourselves and focus on our other senses engaging as our bodies intuitively move. After the music slows down, we will sink into Savasana where you'll be open and receptive to reflecting on the experience and processing what came up. This is a profound journey inward.
*Please bring something to cover your eyes with while dancing -

Second half of class leads to playtime acro yoga (think "airplane") and Thai massage (assisted stretching) for cool down. The partner collaboration during movement creates such profound awareness in our bodies. Come try something new!

SUP Yoga (Sunday at 8am)
[Location: AB Watersports]
Stand up paddleboard yoga is for the nature and fitness lovers wanting to take it to the next level! This is an opportunity to enjoy some paddleboarding, connect with nature, maybe get a little wet, and have a whole lot of fun challenging yourself! You won't believe how good it feels to practice yoga while floating in the water. SUP yoga automatically activates your core for stabilization, improves your balance while engaging different muscles not used to during land yoga, making you feel more empowered during class. This practice demands a deeper level of mindfulness and presence while moving through postures on the board.
Class begins with an introduction on paddling, safety, and land warm-up. We have a short paddle to our yoga spot along the canal where we'll practice for about 45-minutes. Then, you'll find stillness laying down in the most tranquil savasana before heading back.
*Please arrive early especially if you're renting a board. Bring sunscreen, wear a suit or clothes you don't mind getting wet, and water.
