Reiki is the Japanese word for universal life force energy. This Natural Healing Art involves light hands-on touch that supports wholeness and enhances deeper awareness. It is an anchor into Source and acknowledges the body’s innate capacity for healing. Reiki promotes peace, calm, relaxation, rejuvenation inner quiet, stress reduction, clarity, pain relief, trauma/toxicity/negativity release, connection to self, sleep, and nourishment. By supporting the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual bodies, Reiki recognizes the profound effect energy has on all aspects of being. In an increasingly fast-paced, yang society characterized by force, taking, and output, Reiki reconnects us to the slow spaciousness of yin energy defined by gentleness, allowing, and receiving. Betsy completed her Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki training with Ann Ehringhaus on Ocracoke Island. Mikau Usui founded Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki over 100 years ago in Japan.
